- U.S. markets did not open on Saturday. NANO ended Friday at $18.85, rising 7.0%, and posted an 18.5% gain for the week.
- The quarterly report due Wednesday is expected to show early STS results and current liquidity figures.
- Liquidity in March was 58.4% of the market value as of Friday. Interest earned over six months matched 103% of cash used in operations.
NANO Nuclear Energy Inc. NASDAQ:NNE closed the week at $18.85 after significant price swings. Shares are still down 69% from the 52-week peak of $60.87.
The upcoming catalyst is scheduled for Wednesday, when NANO intends to submit its June-quarter results prior to a webcast at 5 p.m. EDT.
NANO’s initial material revenue may be included in that report. Secured Transportation Services finalized its deal on May 22, having reported audited 2025 revenue of $7.1 million and net income of $1.3 million.
Nonetheless, revenue remains modest. STS’s annual sales represent just 0.73% of NANO’s market capitalization, which stood at approximately $974 million on Friday.
The balance sheet takes precedence. As of March 31, NANO reported liquidity of $568.7 million, amounting to 58.4% of its market value.
The six-month management discussion disclosed interest income of $9.55 million, narrowly surpassing operating cash usage of $9.25 million and resulting in 103% coverage.
| Cash and revenue comparison | Reported amount | Investor read-through |
|---|---|---|
| Liquidity as of March 31 | $568.7 million | Represents 58.4% of market value as of Friday |
| Interest income over six months | $9.55 million | Equals 103.2% of cash used in operations |
| Operating cash use for six months | $9.25 million | Rose as development efforts grew |
| Research expenses for six months | $11.06 million | Climbed 45% compared with previous year |
| STS 2025 audited revenue | $7.10 million | Accounts for 0.73% of Friday market value |
| Market cap minus stated liquidity | $404.9 million | Basic subtraction only; does not reflect enterprise value |
Figures are calculated based on Friday’s market value and financial statements as of March 31. Liabilities and any later changes to the balance sheet are not included.
This results in roughly $405 million in market value beyond the declared liquidity. Investors are essentially valuing the reactor programs, STS, and additional ongoing assets at this figure, prior to factoring in liabilities.
The action on Friday appeared sector-driven. Shares of Oklo Inc. NYSE:OKLO surged 14.8% following the announcement of its inaugural $1.2 million in quarterly revenue. NuScale Power Corp. NYSE:SMR gained 3.7%.
| Company | Friday close | Friday move | Weekly move | Market value | Volume/average |

| NuScale Power | $9.82 | added 3.7% | gained 16.6% | $3.58 billion | 1.04x |
Weekly shifts reflect closing values from July 31 and August 7. Volume ratios are based on Friday’s trading volume versus Google Finance’s typical averages.
NANO’s lower-than-normal trading volume means Friday’s rise is less definitive. The comparison with Oklo points to broader sector movement rather than a definite revaluation of NANO alone.
Overall sentiment on Wall Street is largely optimistic. Still, the target range is notably broader than usual.

The $22 to $50 target span is a 2.3-fold difference between the lowest and highest estimates. This spread signals debate about execution and timing, rather than about proven reactor profits.
Regulation continues to be the main delay. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission accepted the KRONOS permit application from the University of Illinois on May 18. Environmental and safety assessments are planned into spring and early fall 2027.
A July Phase I AFWERX award may provide a potential path for defense. CEO James Walker described it as “another meaningful step” in NANO’s push to commercialize for defense. The value of the award was not revealed by the company. Nanonuclear Energy
On Wednesday, investors should monitor liquidity, spending on cash, interest income, and research expenses. STS revenue will also be significant. The key challenge remains whether Treasury income continues to balance out the increased pace of development expenses.
Risks: Delays are possible in reactor licensing. Costs may increase due to first-of-a-kind engineering, fuel supply, transportation, STS integration and dilution. NANO states significant reactor revenue is still years in the future and expects that additional funding will be needed.
Initial revenue can capture headlines, but the longevity will be determined by the strength of the balance sheet.
