Internet Access in the Netherlands: 2025 Status and Outlook
By early 2025, fiber broadband reaches 7–8 million of 9.3 million Dutch households, with 3.2 million active fiber lines by end-2024. KPN phases out DSL as copper is replaced by fiber. Ziggo covers about 90% of homes with DOCSIS 3.1 and plans DOCSIS 4.0 by mid-decade. Odido’s fiber footprint hits 8.1 million addresses in 2025, the widest in the country.
