    January 28, 2026, 4:13 AM EST. Corn futures edged lower Tuesday with front-month contracts falling by fractions to a penny. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported a private export sale of 110,000 metric tons (MT) of corn to unknown buyers, alongside a 306,000 MT sorghum sale. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price slipped one cent to $3.90 1/4. Brazil's National Association of Grain Exporters and Importers (ANEC) projected January corn exports at 3.39 million MT, down 60,000 MT versus last week and below January 2023's 3.59 million MT. March 2026 corn futures were at $4.27 1/4, May at $4.35 1/2, and July at $4.41 1/2, all slightly lower.
