The Hang Seng Index fell 1.23% to 25,765.36 on Monday, dropping below 26,000 as selling hit “new consumption” stocks, mainland banks, and gold counters. Pop Mart shares plunged over 8%, leading declines amid concerns about overproduction and rising short interest. The Hang Seng Tech Index closed flat. Trading turnover exceeded HK$115 billion by midday.
