Hang Seng jumps 1.4% as Hong Kong stock market tracks Wall Street rally, eyes US jobs report
The Hang Seng Index closed up 1.38% at 26,710.45 on Tuesday, led by gains in financial and property stocks. China Hongqiao rose 6.14% and Ping An climbed 5.79%. Tencent repurchased over 1 million shares for HK$635.6 million. Investors are awaiting Friday’s U.S. jobs report for signals on Federal Reserve rate policy.
