Indian stocks fell sharply by late morning Tuesday, with the Sensex down 468 points near 84,634 and Nifty 50 lower by 0.55% around 25,819. Mid- and small-cap indices dropped about 1.5% each. Asian Paints slid nearly 4%, leading large-cap declines, while Infosys, M&M, Wipro, and Tata Steel also fell. Over 380 NSE stocks hit 52-week lows as market breadth remained weak.
