SGX stock rises as margin rules loosen; investors eye Feb 5 results
Singapore Exchange shares rose 0.9% to S$17.59 after SGX raised brokers’ total margin exposure cap to 500% from 300%. The Straits Times Index hit a record above 4,900, led by banks. SGX’s first-half FY2026 results are due Feb. 5. Markets await the U.S. Federal Reserve meeting this week.
