MediaTek stock heads into Monday with Feb. 4 results call in focus after Friday dip

MediaTek shares fell 1.1% to NT$1,760 on Friday, trading 11.2 million shares between NT$1,735 and NT$1,775. Domestic investment trusts net bought 403,588 shares on Jan. 30. Investors await the company’s fourth-quarter results on Feb. 4 and January revenue figures on Feb. 10. The TAIEX index closed down 1.45% earlier in the week, adding pressure to tech stocks.

MediaTek stock price: Taiwan chipmaker in focus before open after 1.3% drop

MediaTek shares fell 1.33% to T$1,485 Monday, underperforming as Taiwan’s benchmark index closed at 31,639.29 near record highs. Around 5.9 million MediaTek shares changed hands. Global markets slipped after U.S. President Trump announced new tariffs on European goods starting Feb. 1. Micron agreed to buy Powerchip’s P5 fab in Taiwan for $1.8 billion, aiming to boost DRAM output by 2027.

SAP stock price: Treasury stake tops 5% as buyback focus builds into next week

SAP SE closed at 171.22 euros on Xetra Friday, up 0.43%, after disclosing its treasury shares rose above 5% of capital, reaching 61,737,035 shares. The increase follows the launch of a buyback plan worth up to 2.6 billion euros through July 2026. SAP’s U.S. shares finished at $203.34. Investors await SAP’s Integrated Report on Feb. 26 and next results on April 23.
