Telecom Argentina (TEO) stock jumps on Banco Macro’s $75 million Personal Pay deal
Telecom Argentina’s U.S.-listed shares surged 11.7% to $12.57 after Banco Macro agreed to invest $75 million for a 50% stake in Micro Sistemas, operator of the Personal Pay digital wallet. The deal awaits antitrust approval. Trading volume more than doubled the three-month average, with the stock hitting $12.91 intraday. Banco Macro’s U.S. shares fell 1.1% to $96.92.
