Amphenol stock price jumps as APH heads into Q4 earnings and a Fed-packed week

New York, Jan 26, 2026, 15:53 EST — Regular session

  • Amphenol shares climbed roughly 3% in late-afternoon trading, beating the broader market gains.
  • Investors are gearing up ahead of Amphenol’s fourth-quarter results, set for release Wednesday.
  • Risk appetite is also being shaped by the Federal Reserve’s rate decision set for Jan. 28.

Shares of Amphenol Corp climbed roughly 3% on Monday, edging back toward recent peaks as the day progressed. The stock closed at $155.53, up 3.0%, with intraday trading ranging from $150.02 to $156.63.

Amphenol is gearing up to release its fourth-quarter results on Wednesday, with a conference call set for 1 p.m. ET, according to the company’s investor site. This week features earnings reports from several major U.S. firms, and traders often look to hardware suppliers like Amphenol for an early glimpse into corporate tech spending.

Wednesday marks the Federal Reserve’s policy announcement, a key event that could shift investor sentiment on growth stocks and industrial tech firms. The Fed’s meeting is scheduled for Jan. 27-28.

Amphenol’s rise outpaced the broader market. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF climbed roughly 0.7%, with the Invesco QQQ Trust gaining around 0.6%. TE Connectivity, a sector peer, added about 1%, while Cisco Systems jumped over 3%.

Amphenol projected fourth-quarter revenue between $6.0 billion and $6.1 billion in October, with adjusted earnings per share expected at 89 to 91 cents. The company pointed to strong demand driven by AI and data communications. Adjusted EPS excludes certain items to reflect the core operating performance.

Amphenol recently sealed a key acquisition, wrapping up its purchase of CommScope’s Connectivity and Cable Solutions business earlier this month. CEO R. Adam Norwitt highlighted that the deal “adds significant fiber optic interconnect capabilities” to the company’s IT datacom and communications networks. The business is projected to bring in about $4.1 billion in sales by 2026 and expects to boost 2026 diluted EPS by roughly $0.15, excluding acquisition-related costs. Amphenol Investors

Amphenol manufactures connectors, antennas, sensors, and specialty cables, reporting its results through three segments: Harsh Environment Solutions, Communications Solutions, and Interconnect and Sensor Systems. These divisions serve diverse markets, including automotive, aerospace, broadband, and defense.

But the situation is double-edged. With shares hovering near recent highs, investors might quickly lose patience over weak order trends, margin squeezes, or cautious 2026 demand guidance. On the macro front, Michael Pearce from Oxford Economics noted last week that the “near-term outlook is benign,” though he cautioned that factors beyond the Fed could still disrupt the trajectory. Wednesday’s lineup has traders keyed in: Amphenol’s earnings call kicks off at 1 p.m. ET. The Fed drops its policy statement an hour later at 2 p.m., with a press conference slated for 2:30 p.m., per the central bank’s schedule.
