AXS launches bill-payment rewards in Singapore, teasing S$88 “mystery box” vouchers

Singapore, 18:08, January 30, 2026 (Singapore Time)

  • AXS has rolled out AXS Rewards, handing out “AXS Coins” when users pay bills through its mobile app
  • For a limited window, customers can grab a guaranteed-win “mystery box” loaded with vouchers valued up to S$88
  • AXS aims to broaden its rewards catalogue by Q2 2026

AXS, the platform that allows users to settle various bills in one spot, has introduced AXS Rewards. The new programme awards “AXS Coins” for bill payments made via its mobile app, which users can then use to offset future bills. To kick things off, AXS is running a promotion featuring a guaranteed-win “mystery box” containing vouchers valued up to S$88. Marketing Interactive

The push zeroes in on a type of payment that’s usually routine and unremarkable, often left out of the perks game credit cards and wallets deploy to lock in customers. Because of that, even modest rebates can influence habits, particularly when it comes to recurring bills like utilities and telecom.

AXS revealed an internal survey showing that over half of both AXS and non-AXS users identified utilities and telecommunications bills as the main chunk of their regular payments. Around 53% of those surveyed prefer cashback, with 41% opting for loyalty points instead.

According to AXS’ website, paying a single bill nets users 10 coins, but setting up a recurring bill—where payments run automatically—earns 15 coins. Plus, every three bills paid come with a 30-coin bonus. Com

The promotion page notes that making a single bill payment will unlock a “Sure-Win Mystery Box,” which can be redeemed for 10 coins—these coins can then be used to cut down your bills. The campaign is set to end on April 30, while the special mystery box offer is available only until Feb. 28. Com

The mystery box promotion runs from Jan. 28 to Feb. 28, with over 95% of vouchers valued between S$0.18 and S$2.20. Less than 5% fall in the range of S$8.88 to S$88. Vouchers must be redeemed by July 31 and cannot be swapped for cash. Com

Consumer finance blog The MileLion noted the programme lets users exchange coins for AXS vouchers worth S$2, S$5, and S$10 at 400, 1,000, and 2,000 coins each, translating to roughly 1% to 1.5% rebates on smaller bills. It also pointed out that bill payments via AXS typically don’t qualify for credit or debit card rewards. Milelion

Quah Chun Han, CEO of AXS Payments, described bill-paying as “essential but uncelebrated.” He highlighted that AXS Rewards builds on the platform’s well-known lucky draws. With one in three working adults using their platform, Quah said AXS aims to “make it worthwhile and gratifying.” Techedt

AXS announced plans to broaden its rewards catalogue by Q2 2026, introducing offers spanning food and beverage, travel, routine services, and more experiences.

For those hunting card points, The MileLion pointed out that services like CardUp, Citi PayAll, and Standard Chartered’s SC EasyBill are popular methods to funnel certain bill payments via credit cards—usually for a fee.

The early value proposition feels weak and limited. Most mystery box payouts are modest, and the terms allow AXS to cancel, suspend, or end the promotion at any time. That could dull the program’s appeal if users don’t spot enough savings.

Founded in 2000, AXS claims it supports over one million users, operating a network of more than 630 self-service kiosks in addition to its web and mobile platforms. Com
