Glencore shares fell 3.2% to 337.8p in London on Friday, extending a recent pullback as investors reacted to new buyback disclosures, energy-transition deals, and the Century Aluminum stake sale. Trading volume dropped to 9.7 million shares, about a third of Thursday’s level. The stock dipped below its 50-day moving average and now sits 15% under its 12-month high.

Glencore shares traded at 351.0p in London mid-morning Thursday, down 0.5% from Wednesday’s close, valuing the company at about £41.9 billion. The drop comes as news emerged on South African smelter closures and copper offtake financing talks with Orion Minerals. Glencore’s stock remains in the upper part of its 52-week range after a recent rally. The FTSE 100 rose, but Glencore lagged the index.
