FTSE Opens Up as Oil Moves, But Investors on Watch
The FTSE 100 rose 0.86% to 10,556.60 after the spring bank holiday, led by gains in Kingfisher and oil-linked stocks. Kingfisher reported a 0.7% drop in first-quarter like-for-like sales but kept its profit target. Brent crude climbed over 2% to $98.21 after U.S. strikes in southern Iran. UK shop prices rose 1.2% in May from a year earlier, the British Retail Consortium said.
