D-Wave Quantum, Rigetti Computing, and Infleqtion shares all jumped more than 30% on Thursday as traders reacted to fresh U.S. government funding tied to quantum tech. D-Wave ended up 33.37% at $25.74, Rigetti added 30.57% at $22.04, and Infleqtion gained 31.48% to close at $14.70. IBM and GlobalFoundries moved higher, too.

Infleqtion shares react to $100 million quantum funding news in Washington

Infleqtion traded higher early Thursday after the company said the U.S. Department of Commerce gave it a preliminary letter for $100 million in funding tied to neutral-atom quantum computing. The letter includes a provision for the U.S. to receive equity in Infleqtion. INFQ was last at $11.18, up 5.1% ahead of the New York open.

Infleqtion Stock Faces a Fresh Test After 30.5 Million-Share Shift by Early Backers

Infleqtion Inc. ran into new turbulence in the public markets this weekend as LCP Quantum–linked funds distributed more than 30.5 million common shares to their own investors, a Friday Form 4 shows. The shares were handed out pro rata, for no consideration, the filing said. This action strips the reporting parties of their 10% owner status in the quantum tech firm.
