Pegasus Resumes Istanbul–Sulaymaniyah Flights as Turkey Lifts Airspace Ban, Giving Sabiha Gökçen a Year-End Route Boost
Pegasus Airlines resumed direct flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Sulaymaniyah on December 27, restoring service after more than two years. The route operates three times weekly, following Türkiye’s decision to lift airspace restrictions imposed in 2023. A small ceremony marked the first departure in Istanbul. The flight takes about two and a half hours.
