Prospect Capital Stock Slides After Earnings as Dividend Reset Hits Focus
Prospect Capital shares dropped 9.6% Friday after the company reported lower March-quarter net investment income and cut its monthly common distribution to $0.035 per share for May through August. The stock traded near $2.49, well below its March 31 net asset value of $6.05. Net investment income fell to $78.5 million, or $0.16 per share, and total assets declined to $6.38 billion.
