SMX (NASDAQ:SMX) jumped 135%, and Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust (NASDAQ:WHLR) gained 98%. The S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Dow all closed higher, but small- and mid-cap stocks saw the largest percentage moves.
