The John Hancock Group of Funds appointed Christine L. Hurtsellers and Kenneth J. Phelan as independent trustees, expanding its board to 12 independent members. Separately in Chicago, John Hancock College Prep called for community support ahead of its first Thanksgiving basketball tournament. The organizations are unrelated and share only the John Hancock name.
