STI flirts with 5,000: Yangzijiang and AEM set the pace on SGX in the week ahead
The Straits Times Index closed up 0.6% at 4,995.07 on Friday, just below 5,000. Yangzijiang Shipbuilding surged 10.7% after posting a 24.6% rise in second-half profit, while AEM jumped 17.4% on strong AI-driven demand and 2026 guidance. Venture Corp fell 7.5%. Traders await Singapore’s PMI data on Monday and retail sales later in the week.
