FTSE 100 slips as Barclays takes a hit from Trump’s credit-card cap push; gold miners climb
Barclays dropped 4% after U.S. President Trump called for a 10% cap on credit-card interest rates, weighing on UK stocks. The FTSE 100 slipped 0.1% by 0823 GMT, while sterling rose 0.3% to about $1.34. Miners gained as gold hit a record $4,563.61 an ounce.
