Toyota share price slips as Elliott snubs Toyota Industries bid, putting buyout cost in focus
Toyota Motor shares closed down 1.18% at 3,670 yen Friday after Elliott rejected an improved bid for Toyota Industries. The new offer values Toyota Industries at 5.6 trillion yen, but Elliott says it remains too low. Toyota Industries shares ended 3% above the bid price. The tender offer closes Feb. 12.
