Allied Gold slides 7% as gold pulls back from record highs
Allied Gold shares dropped 7.4% to $23.08 Monday as spot gold slid 4.5% to $4,330.79 an ounce. The VanEck Gold Miners ETF and Newmont each fell about 6%. Allied recently began processing ore at its expanded Sadiola mine in Mali. The company’s next earnings report is expected in late March or early April.
