Athabasca Oil Corp. shares lost around 5% Monday, lagging the Canadian market as oil prices fell hard. The stock on the TSX last traded at C$11.34, down from C$11.96 at Friday’s close. It moved in a range from C$11.335 to C$11.710 during the session.

Baytex Shares Slip After Oil Decline

Baytex Energy Corp. shares on the Toronto exchange slid 5.48% to C$6.73 as of 2:43 p.m. ET Monday. Canadian oil names sold off, with Whitecap Resources off 3.81%, Athabasca Oil down 5.14%, and Tamarack Valley Energy losing 5.09%. That came even as the TSX set a new record high.

Nokia jumps 9.64% in Helsinki on AI networking push, adds €5.6B in value
July 9, 2026, 3:08 PM EDT. Nokia shares jumped 9.64% to €11.20 in Helsinki on July 9, adding about €5.6 billion to its market cap at €64.16 billion. The stock led the OMX Helsinki 25, which rose 1.84%. Ericsson was up 6.70% in Stockholm, while Ciena climbed 6.09% in New York. Investors pointed to Nokia's AI networking plans and its work with NestAI on AI-powered defense command systems. The company moved 43.55 million treasury shares, or 0.76% of float, into equity incentive plans. Nokia's AI and cloud sales grew 49% in Q1, and attention is turning to its Q2 earnings due July 23.
