High Winds Cause Power Outages in Quinte as Napanee Man Charged With Attempted Murder – Eastern Ontario Update for November 27, 2025

High winds knocked out power for nearly 11,000 Hydro One customers across Ontario early Thursday, with a major outage affecting 3,700 in Northumberland County. Environment Canada reported gusts up to 80 km/h in Belleville and Quinte West. Most Quinte homes kept power, but scattered outages hit Brighton and Prince Edward County. Hydro One warned some outages could last as winter storms continue.
