Strathcona drops 5% as TSX climbs to record high, oil shares draw traders
Strathcona Resources fell 5.1% to C$44.97 Monday as crude prices tumbled, with Brent down nearly 7% on possible U.S.-Iran talks. The S&P/TSX Composite rose 1.03%, but energy stocks lagged. Strathcona reported Q1 output of 116,542 boe/d and $194 million in operating earnings. The company will pay a $0.30 dividend June 17 and maintains 2026 production guidance at 120,000–130,000 barrels per day.
