Energy Fuels Inc. said its dysprosium oxide, produced at Utah’s White Mesa Mill, passed initial quality checks by a major South Korean automaker for use in permanent magnets. Shares jumped 9.6% to $15.32 Friday on heavy volume. The company began pilot-scale production in August and has produced about 29 kilograms so far. China’s export controls on rare earths remain in effect.
