Ondas (NASDAQ:ONDS) trading volume exceeds shares outstanding amid DZYNE acquisition scrutiny

NEW YORK, July 19, 2026, 07:54 EDT — Ondas saw trading volumes spike past its total share count as markets evaluated the potential implications of the company’s deal with DZYNE, raising questions over its current valuation.

Ondas Inc. saw 671.5 million shares change hands last week, surpassing its 569.8 million shares outstanding, while the stock declined by 10.1%.

The volume indicates liquidity rather than changes in ownership. One share may be traded multiple times.

More notably, the increase in demand did not push the price higher. The focus now turns to whether DZYNE can drive growth in earnings per share.

Ondas shares ended Friday at $6.525, falling 1.9%. The stock edged down a further 0.8% in after-hours trading to $6.47.

U.S. cash markets remain shut on Sunday. The next standard trading session at Nasdaq opens Monday at 9:30 a.m. EDT.

Ondas did not issue an investor update last week. The company’s investor relations site continues to feature the July 6 DZYNE news as its most recent announcement.

The table is based on daily closing prices and volumes as of July 17. Notional ratios are early estimates derived from end-of-day prices. Share counts are sourced from Fidelity and Google Finance.

Ondas’ notional trading volume over five days was about $4.60 billion, surpassing its equity valuation of approximately $3.72 billion.

The 40.0 million registered DZYNE shares account for only 6.0% of last week’s trading volume. Reported turnover was nearly 17 times greater than that block.

Ondas filed to register the shares for resale on July 6. Sellers can choose to sell any, all or none of the shares, and Ondas will not receive any proceeds.

The prospectus connects seller limits to 10% of daily trading volume, divided proportionally. Combined across all sellers, an initial estimate results in a weekly capacity of 67.2 million shares. This figure surpasses the registered allocation.

Ondas has not revealed whether any shares were sold or the number involved. Trading volume by itself does not indicate who the sellers are.

Ondas paid $200 million in cash and about 85 million shares to acquire DZYNE. Of these, 40 million shares were issued at closing, and an additional 45 million are set to be issued on January 4, 2027.

Combined, the equity element represents 16.0% of Ondas’ share count prior to the deal. The outstanding tranche by itself would increase the current share count by 7.9%.

Chief Executive Eric Brock said DZYNE was “accelerating Ondas’ path towards profitable, long-term growth.” The company anticipates DZYNE generating $191 million in revenue in 2026 and over $300 million in 2027. Ondas aims for at least $525 million in 2026 revenue. Ondas Inc.

Ondas does not have an investor event scheduled for the upcoming week. FINRA is set to release July 15 short-interest data on Friday, July 24.

The release includes positions up to Wednesday, but does not reflect DZYNE share sales. Monday’s price and trading volume will provide a quicker indication.

Risks are still elevated. Sellers may take advantage of increased volume to offload stock, and there are another 45 million shares outstanding. Delays in integration or softer margins could diminish anticipated earnings gains.

At present, the market has demonstrated it can handle the supply, but has yet to indicate a willingness to pay higher prices.

July 20, 2026, 4:16 PM EDT. Market participants are turning to Nasdaq-100 Micro Index (XND) options to initiate bearish positions as implied volatility in NDX options remains elevated. On July 17, traders executed two collar strategies: one involved a negligible net outlay of 0.01 that limits profits above the 309 strike, while the other produced a 6.50 net credit through selling an ITM call and purchasing an OTM put, targeting returns if XND falls modestly or stays flat.
