Airbnb stock jumps after earnings — but ABNB’s “premium demand” story gets tested at the open
Airbnb shares jumped 6% after hours Thursday as the company projected first-quarter revenue of $2.59–$2.63 billion, topping Wall Street estimates. Fourth-quarter revenue reached $2.8 billion with net income of $341 million. Airbnb cited strong demand for higher-priced stays and expanded its hotel pilot in cities including New York and Madrid. The company repurchased $1.1 billion in stock during the quarter.
