    June 10, 2026, 4:54 AM EDT. Wheat futures closed mixed on Tuesday with Chicago Soft Red Winter (SRW) up modestly while Minneapolis spring wheat declined. The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported 92% of winter wheat is headed, ahead of average, with harvest at 11%. Crop conditions slipped 1 percentage point. Spring wheat planting reached 98%, ahead of schedule, and conditions improved. Rainfall forecasts could delay harvest in Southern Plains. Analysts expect U.S. wheat production at 1.555 billion bushels in Thursday's Crop Production report, slightly lower for hard red winter (HRW) but higher for soft red winter (SRW). European wheat exports are up year-on-year. July corn futures ended up to 2 cents, while Minneapolis wheat saw small losses. The Brugler500 index, tracking wheat conditions, shifted slightly with regional variances noted in Washington and Minnesota.
