  • Soybeans Jump on Monday; USDA Posts Weak Old Crop Sales, Brazil Exports Climb
July 6, 2026, 10:32 AM EDT. Soybean futures gained 28 to 35 cents in early trade Monday. Most front months are weaker after last week's choppy action. USDA reported old crop soybean sales at a marketing year low of 41,786 MT, with China the main buyer. New crop sales came in at 182,533 MT, up 16.89% from last year, led by Mexico. Soybean meal and oil futures traded mixed. Brazilian soybean exports hit 14.5 million metric tons in June, higher than last year. Weather models call for 1-3 inches of rain in parts of the Dakotas and Minnesota, while above-normal temps are expected across the Corn Belt, raising concern for crop conditions.
