July 3, 2026, 12:39 PM EDT. Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTSH) is pushing further into AI-powered cybersecurity by teaming up with OpenAI. The companies are using GPT-5.5 for vulnerability management in Cognizant's Frontier AI Cyber Defense service line. As part of the Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, Cognizant is adding AI into security tools for code reviews and threat hunting, but keeps human review in the workflow. The company says this will help speed up fixes and strengthen cyber defenses. Cognizant's internal team of more than 5,000 cybersecurity staff are using the tools before they're offered to clients. The company is also building out partnerships, including with CrowdStrike and Rubrik, to expand its focus on AI governance and security for enterprises. Back in June 2026, Cognizant widened its CrowdStrike relationship to tie AI lifecycle security into its AI Factory and Managed Cybersecurity Services, aiming for safer enterprise AI rollouts.
