General Mills jumped 7.8% after an earnings beat and laid out a $3 billion cost-cut plan. The Institute for Supply Management's report saw manufacturing slow and inflation cool, sending Treasury yields down to 4.47%. Kroger and Nike traded higher on deals and better profit numbers.
