InterContinental Hotels Group PLC picked up 40,000 ordinary shares on July 9, 2026. The trade went through Goldman Sachs International on the London Stock Exchange. Shares changed hands at an average $162.43 each, as approved at the May 2025 AGM. The group plans to cancel these, which would bring shares outstanding down to 148.7 million, not counting 5.4 million in treasury. The buyback follows guidance from February 2026
