Peakstone Realty Trust stock jumps 33% on Brookfield Asset Management’s $21-a-share buyout offer
Peakstone Realty Trust shares jumped 33% to $20.72 after Brookfield Asset Management agreed to buy the company for $21 per share in cash, valuing Peakstone at about $1.2 billion including debt. The deal includes a 30-day go-shop period ending March 4 and halts Peakstone’s regular dividend. Brookfield’s shares were little changed. Peakstone owns 76 industrial properties after selling its office assets in December.
