Futures for the S&P/TSX Composite Index signaled a flat open Monday, with December contracts down 0.03% as of 5:50 a.m. ET. The Toronto market rebounded last week after a sharp 1.9% drop Wednesday, ending up 1.4% for its best week since September. Investors are awaiting October inflation data, expected to show annual CPI cooling to 2.1% from 2.4%. The Bank of Canada recently cut its key rate to 2.25%.
