Iovance (NASDAQ:IOVA) advances 18% in a week, drawing attention to Amtagvi sales goals

NEW YORK, July 19, 2026, 10:07 EDT

  • Shares ended Friday at $5.00, rising 18.2% across five sessions.
  • Initial projections show that second-half quarterly revenue needs to be between $95.8 million and $105.8 million.

Iovance Biotherapeutics gained 18.2% in the past week, finishing Friday at $5.00. Over the same timeframe, the SPDR S&P Biotech ETF (NYSEARCA:XBI) dropped 3.0%, resulting in a performance difference of about 21 points.

The gap is significant as Iovance has yet to announce its second-quarter sales figures. In May, the company forecast sales between $86 million and $88 million. The midpoint of this range suggests sequential growth of 21.8%.

Full-year guidance places higher demands. To reach the $350 million minimum, the company needs to post an average of $95.8 million in revenue per quarter in the second half. Meeting the $370 million mark would require an average quarterly run-rate of $105.8 million.

The table is based on actual results from the first quarter and the midpoint estimate of $87 million for the second quarter. Figures for the second half are early estimates.

The lower range stands 10.1% higher than the midpoint for the second quarter. The upper range demands an additional 21.6%. Both scenarios depend on ongoing sequential growth.

The majority of the stock’s rise took place on Wednesday, when shares surged 20.6% with 43.7 million traded—a volume roughly 2.9 times higher than the 65-day average. On Friday, shares increased by another 7.3%.

The most recent SEC event took place on July 2, when a filing included a revised corporate presentation rather than quarterly earnings. As a result, investors acted ahead of receiving new sales data.

Interim CEO Frederick Vogt expressed confidence in May. “We are accelerating the adoption and commercial expansion for Amtagvi after record high demand,” he said. Iovance reiterated its annual revenue guidance of $350 million to $370 million. Nasdaq

Amtagvi posted $60.2 million in revenue for the first quarter. Proleukin contributed $11.2 million. As a result, Amtagvi accounted for roughly 84% of total product revenue.

Analyst price targets are varied, spanning from $4 to $14. The median is $9.50, compared with Friday’s closing price of $5.00.

U.S. markets did not operate on Sunday. Trading will resume during the regular session at 9:30 a.m. EDT on Monday. Iovance is scheduled to report earnings next on Aug. 6.

Risks: Iovance reported a loss of $391 million in 2025. The company issued 24.9 million shares in the first quarter at a weighted average price of $4.03. A sales shortfall or additional share dilution may reverse the rally.

The next significant challenge is the $87 million midpoint for the second quarter. Surpassing it would mean an even tougher target remains for the second half.
