BROOMFIELD, August 12, 2026, 15:30 EDT
- Quantinuum shares rose about 25% after its first public quarterly report.
- Second-quarter revenue grew 279%, while adjusted EBITDA remained negative.
- The Oracle agreement lifted expected 2026 bookings to at least $120 million.
Quantinuum Inc. NASDAQ:QNT shares surged 25.3% to about $70.26 on Wednesday. The move added an estimated $3.71 billion of equity value after its first public quarterly report and an Oracle cloud agreement.
That gain matters because the valuation moved far faster than current sales. Quantinuum’s estimated enterprise value now equals roughly 542 times the midpoint of its 2026 revenue guide.
The market is therefore paying for future systems and customer commitments. It is not paying for near-term earnings.
| Valuation bridge | Estimate | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Share price | $70.26 | Wednesday, about 15:30 EDT |
| Fully distributed shares | 261.5 million | Q2 non-GAAP denominator |
| Implied equity value | $18.37 billion | Price × shares |
| Cash and short-term investments | $2.11 billion | June 30 |
| Estimated enterprise value | $16.27 billion | Equity value less cash |
| EV / 2026 revenue midpoint | 542× | $30 million midpoint |
| One-day equity-value gain | $3.71 billion | Preliminary estimate |
These are preliminary estimates using Quantinuum’s fully distributed share count. They exclude debt and other adjustments that could alter enterprise value. The scale still shows how much growth is already embedded.
Second-quarter revenue reached $8.0 million, up 279% from a year earlier. Adjusted gross margin was 61.7%. The adjusted EBITDA loss widened to $68.3 million.
| Q2 operating measure | 2026 | 2025 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $8.0 million | $2.1 million | +279% |
| GAAP gross margin | -64.4% | -91.8% | +27.4 points |
| Adjusted gross margin | 61.7% | 62.3% | -0.6 point |
| GAAP net loss | $596.5 million | $56.9 million | Wider |
| Adjusted EBITDA loss | $68.3 million | $43.5 million | Wider |
The GAAP loss included $464.6 million of equity compensation and related payroll taxes. Quantinuum also recorded a $47.6 million warrant revaluation. Those items make the adjusted loss more useful for the operating trend, though it remains large.
Management set 2026 revenue guidance at $28 million to $32 million. The $30 million midpoint sits above the $26.5 million analyst estimate reported before the release.

The Oracle Corporation NYSE:ORCL agreement supplies the clearest commercial signal. Oracle plans to deploy a Helios system inside a U.S. cloud data center. Financial terms and the deployment date were not disclosed.
The deal lifted expected 2026 bookings to at least $120 million. That compares with $81 million through June. Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore called it “an important validation” of the technology and commercialization path. Investor’s Business Daily
Bookings are not revenue. Contract timing, milestones and modifications can delay or reduce conversion. The difference between $120 million of expected bookings and a $30 million revenue midpoint is the central execution test.
Chief Executive Rajeeb Hazra said the business was seeing “accelerating commercial momentum.” He also stressed the company’s cash position. Quantinuum held $2.11 billion at June 30 after its $1.7 billion IPO. Quantinuum

Analysts remain positive after the June IPO. The average target is $98.75 across 13 analysts, with a range from $78 to $155. Most ratings predate this earnings report, so revisions may follow.
Risks: Quantum demand remains early and contract revenue can be uneven. Technical delays, supplier limits, larger research costs and slower bookings conversion could compress the valuation quickly.
Wednesday’s rally rewards evidence that Helios can move into enterprise infrastructure. The next proof must come from recognized revenue, not another partnership announcement.
