NEW YORK, July 27, 2026, 5:07 p.m. EDT — U.S. regular trading has ended and after-hours trading is now underway.
- Trump Media finished at $9.56, gaining 11.6%, with 4.94 million shares traded.
- The surge recovered much of the 11.4% drop from the week before.
- Initial projections indicate that Truth API could generate between $3.6 million and $6 million each year with five clients.
Shares of Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. NASDAQ:DJT climbed 11.6% to $9.56 on Monday. Early estimates suggest the increase in equity value is about $274 million.
The main question for investors is that gain. It is much higher than the immediate sales being generated by Truth API.
Truth API is expected to go live on August 1, providing institutional customers with chosen Truth Social posts in milliseconds, 24 hours a day.
The Wall Street Journal reported that at least five companies have enrolled. Reuters reported that monthly fees varied between $60,000 for three-year agreements and $100,000.
Initial revenue sensitivity for Truth API
| Scenario | Monthly fee per client | Annual run-rate for five clients | Run-rate as a percentage of 2025 sales |
|---|---|---|---|
| Three-year offer | $60,000 | $3.6 million | 98% |
| Highest reported price | $100,000 | $6.0 million | 163% |
The projections are based on five paying customers over a year. Staggered onboarding, additional discounts, client attrition, service expenses and accounting schedule are not factored in. Trump Media posted net sales of $3.68 million in 2025.
If five clients were secured at the lower estimate, sales would almost reach 2025 levels. At the upper estimate, those five clients would surpass 2025 sales by 63%.
The estimated value increase on Monday was significantly higher. It amounted to nearly 76 times the low-end rate and 46 times the upper estimate.
The gap indicates that investors are factoring in more than just the initial group of customers. Either broader adoption, stronger pricing leverage, or a combination will be needed.
Interim CEO Kevin McGurn stated that the API has potential to be a “meaningful, ongoing source of revenue” with increasing adoption. Details on contract values have not been made public. SEC
Demand could also be focused. Mark Spiegel from Stanphyl Capital noted that “the only market-moving poster on Truth Social is Trump himself.” Reuters
The bounce came after a difficult week. DJT dropped 11.4% between July 17 and Friday. Monday’s closing price remained nearly 1% under that level.
Peer movements were modest. RUM Group Inc. NASDAQ:RUM advanced 6.0%, and Reddit Inc. NYSE:RDDT increased 6.2%. The Nasdaq Composite fell 0.2%.
Operating performance continues to be both limited and variable. Trump Media reported a loss of $712.3 million against $3.68 million in sales for 2025. Revenue for the first quarter totaled $871,200, with a loss of $405.9 million.
The August 1 API launch is the next scheduled catalyst this week. Investors are expected to monitor official pricing details, the number of paying clients, and reported revenue figures.
Risks: Trump Media has yet to reveal contract amounts or register any API income. Two leading banks informed Reuters they are not planning on subscribing. Political attention and volatile asset prices may significantly affect the modest new revenue channel.
