Nasdaq-100 futures remained lower before dawn on Wednesday. Oil above $90 and a 4.79% Treasury yield kept rate risk in view.
The technology-heavy contract stood at 29,070.50, down 0.19% from settlement. S&P 500 futures slipped 0.05% to 7,639.25. Those were the latest delayed readings before 04:00 EDT Nasdaq futures; S&P futures.
The U.S. equity premarket had only just opened at the scheduled checkpoint. Its available interval was 04:00:00–04:00:01 EDT. Broad cash-market breadth and consolidated volume were therefore unavailable.

Tuesday’s cash session set the cautious tone. The S&P 500 fell 0.7%, while the Nasdaq Composite lost 1.0%. The Dow dropped 0.8%, and the Russell 2000 declined 1.2% Associated Press.
Energy led the 11 major U.S. sector funds with a 1.27% gain. Consumer discretionary fell 1.72%, the weakest result. Technology lost 1.53%. The split shows how the oil shock shifted value between sectors.

Single-stock price discovery was much sharper. Dell Technologies Inc. NYSE:DELL indicated at $468.50 on its first 04:00 EDT print. MongoDB Inc. NASDAQ:MDB printed $371.07. Palo Alto Networks Inc. NASDAQ:PANW indicated at $358.12.

Dell’s move followed record quarterly revenue of $47.0 billion. That was 58% higher year on year. MongoDB reported $771.8 million of revenue, up 30%, yet its first premarket print extended the post-close selloff Dell results; MongoDB results.
Dell finance chief David Kennedy called revenue and earnings per share “record” figures. MongoDB chief CJ Desai said growth was the fastest “in several years.” The opposite share moves show that valuation and positioning still dominate headline beats.
The next broad test arrives at 08:15 EDT with private payrolls. July factory orders follow at 10:00 EDT. The Federal Reserve’s Beige Book is due at 14:00 EDT New York Fed calendar.
Risks: delayed futures and thin first prints can reverse before 09:30 EDT. Oil headlines may also move yields quickly. Pre-open indications are not opening prices.
The investor hinge is now clear. Stable oil and yields would let earnings regain control. Another rise would keep long-duration technology at a disadvantage.
