FREMONT, California, Sept. 4, 2026, 11:47 p.m. EDT — Aehr Test Systems NASDAQ:AEHR jumped 13.1% on Friday, closing at $86.26 on heavy volume. There was no new order or earnings release to explain the move.
The rebound puts the valuation back under a bright light. At Friday’s close, Aehr’s 32.62 million shares were worth about $2.81 billion. That is 18.8 to 21.6 times management’s entire fiscal 2027 revenue forecast.
Growth could be exceptional. The price already asks for it.
A 13% Friday jump did not erase the August break

Friday’s 4.50 million shares were roughly 1.8 times the recent average reported by Fox Business. Yet the stock remains 40.8% below its Aug. 17 closing peak of $145.61.
The company’s only fresh release, dated Thursday, announced investor meetings at a Sept. 10 Lake Street conference. It contained no new financial target. The rally therefore looks like a repricing of known facts, not a response to a disclosed contract.
Those known facts are powerful. Aehr forecast fiscal 2027 revenue of $130 million to $150 million, up 160% to 200% from last year’s $50.0 million. It also projected non-GAAP net income equal to 18% to 22% of revenue.
The guide leaves little room for a multiple reset

The $100.6 million effective backlog reported on July 14 covered 67% to 77% of the revenue guide. Then came a $22 million follow-on order on Aug. 12 from Aehr’s lead AI-processor customer.
Aehr expects to ship those FOX-XP systems and wafer contactors over six months. The order alone equals 14.7% to 16.9% of the annual revenue forecast. That is meaningful, though not the same as booked profit.
Chief Executive Gayn Erickson said this week that Aehr was seeing “strong traction with AI processors” in both wafer-level and package-level formats. Investors will hear the pitch again in New York on Thursday.

The bull case is easy to state. AI chips are getting more costly, while advanced packages combine processors, high-bandwidth memory and other components. Catching a defective die before assembly can save a manufacturer far more than the test itself.
Aehr’s system tests nine 300-millimeter wafers at once. Its proprietary WaferPak contactors also create recurring demand as customers add capacity. The business can therefore scale faster than a simple machine count suggests.
But the concentration is sharp. Aehr’s five largest customers supplied 70% of fiscal 2026 revenue. Its top three contributed 26%, 14% and 11%, according to the 10-K.
One delayed production ramp can move a quarter. The $22 million order came from an unnamed lead customer, making the customer’s capacity plan unusually important to the annual forecast.
The balance sheet offers protection, with $116.5 million of cash and restricted cash at fiscal year-end. Much of the increase came from issuing stock. Aehr raised $97.4 million net through public offerings during fiscal 2026, including an April at-the-market program.
Risks: backlog can be delayed or cancelled, AI spending can shift between customers, and a 19-times-sales valuation can contract even if revenue grows. Non-GAAP margin excludes costs that still affect shareholders. Fresh equity issuance also showed that dilution is not theoretical.
The next useful number is not another conference appearance. It is revenue converted from backlog, followed by cash generated from that revenue. Friday’s rally bought investors a better mood. It did not lower the execution bar.
