BitMine Immersion Technologies, Inc. NYSEAMERICAN:BMNR closed Friday with shares at $22.83, marking a 5.8% increase and bringing its market capitalization to $13.77 billion. However, a subsequent rally in Ether later shifted the company’s valuation outlook.
BitMine previously reported holding 5,815,164 Ether and total assets valued at approximately $11.4 billion, based on an Ether price of $1,893 as of August 16. As a result, the closing equity value on Friday represented a 20.8% premium compared with that earlier asset figure.
At 19:35 EDT on Friday, Yahoo listed Ether at $2,520.41. Using this price on the reported holding results in an initial gross value of $14.66 billion. This figure is $885 million higher than BitMine’s market capitalization at the close. The comparison is not simultaneous and does not reflect any liabilities.

The timing difference is significant. BitMine’s shares end trading at 16:00 EDT, while Ether trades nonstop. If prices reverse over the weekend, the visible discount could disappear before markets reopen Monday. A new rally could make it larger.

BitMine’s newest update reported ongoing accumulation. The firm acquired 9,926 Ether over the week. Additionally, it bought back 1.7 million common shares, lifting total purchases since July to above 20.8 million.
Chairman Thomas Lee stated, “We continue to view Bitmine’s common shares as undervalued.” The management’s position rests largely on the current price of Ether and the number of shares outstanding. Their view also counts on the premise that investors will distinguish between staking and infrastructure operations when evaluating the company. Company statement

Analyst targets serve as a rough guideline. The current consensus is based on projections from three firms. These latest targets were set before Friday’s surge in crypto markets and before BitMine’s updated asset figures. As a result, they offer limited insight for Monday’s opening price.
BitMine controls 4.8% of the disclosed Ether supply. Strategy Inc. NASDAQ:MSTR continues to be the leading digital-asset treasury by total value, though its holdings are primarily in Bitcoin. BitMine’s substantial Ether allocation introduces staking returns as well as protocol-specific risks.
The initial test comes next week and is mechanical in nature. Investors plan to assess Monday’s opening price against Ether’s performance over the weekend. Additional focus will be on fresh share buybacks, the weekly amount of Ether acquired, and any revised asset disclosures.
Risks: Ether prices could move when stock markets are shut. Staking has risks including slashing, custody, liquidity, and protocol exposures. Issuance of new equity, debt, or preferred securities may alter per-share asset exposure.
