Sensex closed up 0.38% at 82,814.71 and Nifty 50 rose 0.46% to 25,571.25 on Friday. The rupee weakened 0.3% to 90.9825 per U.S. dollar amid portfolio outflows and U.S.-Iran tensions. Brent crude gained over 5% for the week, settling at $71.76 a barrel. India’s infrastructure output grew 4% year-on-year in January, with cement and steel production both rising sharply.
