OpenAI’s $10B Cerebras compute deal: 750MW push to make ChatGPT faster
OpenAI will buy up to 750 megawatts of computing capacity from Cerebras over three years in a deal exceeding $10 billion, according to a source. The hardware will support ChatGPT and other AI services, with rollouts starting in 2026. Cerebras says its chips can deliver responses up to 15 times faster than traditional GPUs.
