Luxembourg’s space sector reached about 80 companies and 1,650 employees in 2024, up from 16 firms in 2012. The government pledged €301 million for the GovSat-2 satellite in 2025 and maintains the EU’s highest space budget share. Space activities generated 1.7% of GDP in 2023. Laws since 2017 grant private firms rights to mined space resources.
