NextEra Energy shares rose 0.8% to $80.93 at Friday’s close after the utility reaffirmed its long-term earnings and dividend growth targets ahead of January investor meetings. A regulatory filing showed NextEra kept its 2025 adjusted earnings per share outlook at $3.62 to $3.70 and its 2026 target at $3.92 to $4.02, and it still expects at least 8% compound annual growth in adjusted EPS through 2032. The company also reiterated a target of at least 8% adjusted EPS growth through 2035 and said it expects dividends per share to grow about 10% annually through 2026, followed by about 6% growth in 2027 and 2028.
