Moody's rated the bond Ba2. The deal was tied to CleanSpark's bitcoin mining and would have been issued through the state's Business Finance Authority. But the council rejected it on a 3-2 vote after issues were raised about New Hampshire's financial standing. Crypto backers pushed for approval, with Rep. Keith Ammon calling the decision "short-sighted" and saying he wants the council to reconsider with elections coming. This vote puts a hold on efforts to bring cryptocurrencies into regular state finance.
