Costco shares edged up 0.1% to $964.26 in after-hours trading Tuesday, holding steady as Wall Street posted its sharpest drop in three months after a new U.S. tariff threat on Europe. Directors Susan L. Decker and Gina Marie Raimondo disclosed minor insider transactions. December net sales rose 8.5% to $29.86 billion. Costco will pay a $1.30 dividend on Feb. 13 and report Q2 results March 5.

Costco shares fell 0.7% to $957.29 Tuesday morning as U.S. stocks slid on renewed tariff concerns. Walmart, Target, and BJ’s Wholesale also declined. The Cboe Volatility Index hit an eight-week high, while the S&P 500 dropped 1.5%. Costco’s January sales update is due Feb. 4, with quarterly results set for March 5.
