United Microelectronics Corp shares fell 3.9% in the U.S. to $10.18 and 8.8% in Taiwan to NT$62.40 after updated guidance signaled weaker near-term margins. The company reported Q4 revenue of NT$61.81 billion and a 30.7% gross margin, forecasting flat wafer shipments and high-20% margins for Q1. UMC expects 2026 capital expenditure of $1.5 billion.
