Volaris Foreign Pilots Dispute Puts Mexico’s Aviation Policy Under Pressure as U.S. Revokes Routes

Mexico’s aviation regulator has approved Volaris to operate 10 aircraft with foreign pilots and crews from December 1, 2025, to January 12, 2026, to cover holiday demand. Pilot unions call the move unconstitutional and plan legal action. U.S. regulators have revoked 13 Mexican airline routes and targeted the Delta–Aeroméxico alliance, though a U.S. appeals court has partially blocked those actions.

Soluna Holdings filed to register the resale of about 2.46 million common shares, with no proceeds going to the company. The move follows Sazmining’s launch of a 3-megawatt Bitcoin mining operation at Soluna’s Project Dorothy 1B in West Texas. Soluna shares last traded at $1.28, up from a $1.08 Nasdaq sale price on April 28. The registered shares include 2.4 million issuable to YA II PN, LTD. via warrant exercise.
