WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, August 19, 2026, 07:58 EDT — U.S. cash markets remained shut, while premarket trading saw increased activity.
- Ondas gained 0.67% following news of its $33 million agreement with Aran Defense.
- The price is roughly 1.3 times Aran’s projected revenue for 2026.
- Ondas was trading at roughly 9.6 times the midpoint of its 2026 revenue guidance.
Shares of Ondas Inc. NASDAQ:ONDS gained 0.67% to reach $9.06 on Tuesday. The defense technology firm announced a deal to acquire Aran Defense for approximately $33 million. The transaction values Aran at 1.3 times its projected 2026 sales, while Ondas trades at a notably higher sales multiple.
The investor perspective highlights the gap. Ondas holds a market capitalization of $5.17 billion, which stands at 9.6 times the midpoint of its 2026 revenue guidance. Acquiring revenue at a multiple of 1.3 times can add value as the company grows. However, this does not address the group’s existing losses.
The transaction is minor relative to Ondas’ balance sheet. Paying entirely in cash would use up 2.4% of liquidity as of June. Opting for an all-stock payment at Tuesday’s closing price would result in the issuance of around 3.64 million shares, leading to approximately 0.64% dilution before any modifications.

Aran Defense, a division of Aran Ltd. TLV:ARAN, posted revenue of approximately $17 million in 2025, up from $12 million. Executives expect close to $26 million in revenue for 2026, along with positive adjusted EBITDA. The projections are initial estimates.
The facility covers 4,400 square metres dedicated to Israeli engineering and manufacturing. It delivers machining, assembly, classified production, and quality control services. “Expanding localized manufacturing capacity is becoming increasingly important to our ability to execute,” Ondas Chief Executive Eric Brock said. The rationale is functional as well as financial. Ondas has rapidly brought together drone, counter-drone, ground robotics, and surveillance operations. In-house manufacturing may reduce handoff time, while creating an added integration challenge.

Revenue for the second quarter hit an all-time high of $83.8 million. However, adjusted EBITDA showed a loss of $50.6 million. Ondas increased its cash operating expenses to support new ventures and expand its platform. The company is seeing scale ahead of profitability.
As of June 30, liquidity stood at $1.4 billion. In the third quarter, Ondas spent approximately $325 million on DZYNE and Cyberhawk. Aran’s method of payment is still undetermined. Management’s choice between cash and stock will indicate their stance on valuation.
Ondas shares advanced on Tuesday, bucking the trend as three other publicly traded drone and defense companies declined. The session saw 78.1 million Ondas shares change hands, representing 0.89 of the stock’s average daily volume over three months, although it remained among the most heavily traded U.S. stocks.

Risks: Ondas is managing the integration of multiple acquisitions amid continued significant losses. Aran’s projection could fall short. Changes in payment structure might dilute shareholders, and variability in defense orders remains a concern. Geopolitical tensions and export regulations could impact production in Israel.
The following challenge is conversion. Investors are watching for Q3 deliveries to align with the $147.5 million guidance midpoint. Should that target be reached, Aran’s modest purchase multiple could appear prudent. If it is missed, the additional acquisition could introduce more complexity without delivering sufficient earnings.
